This is the video from last session. Please watch it again and make a list of five points that you can take from this and use in our review. This could be five ideas, things not to do, things you have learnt, what makes a good review etc.
Answer:Stand out. Critique. Reviwing for a living is not fun. No discripion of the game. Consider the value of the text.
For example: Yatzee of Zero Punctuation has is own style (fast and ruthless). This makes us want to watch his reviews even if he says things that have been said before.
Activity 2:
Remember our conversation about Graphics and Aesthetics (when I used your bedroom to discuss aesthetics). Please write a short definition for both graphics and aesthetics.
E.g. My backside is in high definition, but not very aesthetically pleasing. ;)
Can you think of a game that has poor graphics but is aesthetically good? I think OoT on Nintendo.
Can you think of one that has fantastic graphics but is aesthetically boring? Why is is boring? I think some modern warfare games are like this. They are all one colour and have no depth. I know they are trying to show how grim the world is, but perhaps the use of more than just grey and brown would help. It is also too easy to walk past an objective.
